Role & Responsibilities
As a member of the Private Bank One Data Platform team at Deutsche Bank, your major responsibilities would be:
- Designing scalable data pipelines in ETL/ELT with BigQuery and Apache Airflow technologies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement historical data sources
- Authoring and optimizing high-level SQL queries for business-critical analytics
- Applying data harmonization, cleansing, and validation rules
- Developing and deploying serverless functions or microservices on Google Cloud
- Assisting in deployment, monitoring, and maintaining pipeline performance updates
- Scheduling repeated manual tasks by employing orchestration tools
Needed Skills & Qualifications
- BSc degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Java or Python
- Detailed understanding of SQL, with knowledge of NoSQL databases as well
- Proficiency using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
- Experience collaborating on Agile/Scrum teams, including using Jira and Confluence
- High-level problem-solving, with communication skills too
Nice to Have / Preferred
- Background experience with Apache Beam, Cloud Composer, or Dataflow
- Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tool skills (GitHub Actions or equivalent)
- Data Vault 2.0 and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with Terraform Infrastructure as Code
- Monitoring tools like Google Cloud Monitoring or New Relic
